HEY! Are YOU addicted to Tobacco-Free Sports, aka: TFS? This awesome program is a world wide initiative all about promoting tobacco-free lifestyles through sport and fitness. It was first born in the United States of America by the Centre of Disease Control. and then adopted by WHO. Who?! The World Health Organization and it’s the United Nations’ specialized agency for health.
BC jumped on the bandwagon and as a result Vancouver Coastal Health sends out the positive message with wicked posters, lively events, and of course: free stuff!!! Now, you’re probably pondering about those sweet posters: just click here for the hockey poster, with a player from the Vancouver Giants, the baseball one, from the Vancouver Canadians, and a football one from the BC Lions.
Check out the TFS tent at LUGE FIL World Cup, Feb. 20-21st at the Whistler Sliding Centre and 2010 Snowboard World Cup Sport Event at Cypress Mountain, Feb 13-15, 2009.
We didn’t forget you either. Just go to www.silink.ca or contact your regional Tobacco Reduction Coordinator to make your team tobacco-free today! (We know you want to!)
